Why it’s a good Idea to work out in the morning

Ever feel like your entire day has slipped away when you step out of the office at 5pm? Now you just feel like going home and eating anything you can find because you haven’t eaten since lunch at 11:45AM. Then, you tell yourself that you’ll work out after you digest your dinner, but end up being lazy and vegging out in front of the TV. You ultimately fall asleep and wake up to the same routine over and over again… Clearly, something needs to change; otherwise you'll never fit into those jeans from college again. 

Try working out in the morning before you start your day. Here are some reasons why it’s a good idea.

 

  1. A good morning workout will help you stay away from those instant noodles that are so convenient. It’ll help regulate your appetite and since you started your day on such a good foot, you’ll be more motivated to take advantage of your workout by eating nutritious meals. Many people claim that working out in the morning curbs their cravings for sugary sweets and other junk foods. After all, you can’t work off an unhealthy diet. In conclusion, not only does an AM workout make your fit, but it also influences your eating choices positively.

  2. Your workout is much more effective in the morning than it is after a 9 hour work day. When you put so much energy into work at the office, you lose your high performance peak by the time you get to the gym. At the end of the day, you won’t be able to walk up that stair master as diligently as you could when you’re fresh out of bed in the morning. Moreover, working out in the AM can help you burn the most calories throughout the day as well as help you burn unwanted fat.

  3. Ever feel invincible after you run 3 miles? Well how about going to work feeling that way? Working out in the morning will set you in a good mood and a motivated state of mind; you may actually end up getting more work done. Working out in the morning can help you feel less stressed and change your mind set for the rest of the day. Not to mention, it frees up your afternoon to engage in your social life.

  4. For all of you non-breakfast eaters: working out after you wake up will prompt you to eat in the morning because your body needs to refuel. Fueling your body with the right foods after a workout will also help you tone up to build those curves that you want!

  5. Once you start working out every morning, after a while, your body gets used to waking up early and you'll stick to your routine. Also, think about all of the things that you can accomplish with an early start!

  6. It simply feels great! It's another opportunity to put you in an awesome mood!!

So… what are you waiting for? There’s no reason for you to not work out in the morning.
