Breakfast is important because it sets the tone for the rest of your day. Eating a good meal in the morning can help you curb your cravings later in the day, and will also prevent you from binging at around lunchtime when you realize you’re starving. Eating a deliciously healthy breakfast can also put you in the right mindset to continue to eat healthy throughout the day. Here are some healthy breakfast ideas.
Egg and Garlic Kale on Toast: You will need
Multigrain/whole wheat toast
Start cooking your egg the way you prefer (Sunny side up, scrambled etc). Then, lightly sauté the chopped garlic with olive oil in a separate pan. Add a handful of kale and sauté with the garlic and oil. On your whole wheat toast, add the garlic kale and egg. Add salt and pepper if needed. If you want to add some more flavor, then chop up some tomatoes and them to your kale.
Breakfast Parfait: You’ll need:
In a glass cup, add blueberries first, and then layer Greek Yogurt on top, followed by granola. Add a little agave syrup on top to sweeten up your parfait.
If you’re not a fan of blueberries, you can substitute for any other berry of your choosing. You can also substitute agave syrup for honey instead. This is great for on the go as well if you’re in a rush!
Turkey bacon wrapped Eggs: You’ll need:
Pre-heat your oven to 400F. Meanwhile, lightly cook the turkey bacon in a pan and set aside on a layer of paper towels when done. In a muffin tray, fold the bacon along the edges into a cup. Then, crack an egg into the middle of each bacon cups. Next, season with salt and pepper and add some cheese if you’d like. Finally, place in the oven for about 13-14 minutes.
